North East Skills Training
MICRO ADVENTURES
Have you ever wanted to explore the great outdoors but don't have the knowledge or equipment? North East Skills Training can plan, supply most of the equipment and most importantly introduce you safely to this experience. With more than twenty years of Mountain Leadership experience leading groups all over the world you can count on NEST for a great more local introduction.
NEST is currently using the Cheviot Hills and the Lake District for their introductions to wild camping in tents, bivi bag or indeed hammock if you fancy something different.
Most of our Micro Adventures are held at the weekend or during the school holidays and could begin from work on the Friday ending Sunday. You could return to work on Monday for the obligatory "did you do much at the weekend chat" with so much more to say. Most of our introductions have been for one night with a short walk into the area before setting up camp for an evening of kit talk, story telling or star gazing.
- Can be one or two nights in duration at the weekend or during school holidays
- Individuals and families welcome
- Most equipment can be supplied
- Lessons in equipment use and choice
- Lessons in navigation, hill safety and movement
- Lessons in camp craft and access
